As a DataOps Engineer, you will be embedded within the Data Team and report directly to our Head of Data. Your primary objective is to accelerate the development and deployment of data-driven product components by standardizing workflows, optimizing infrastructure, and streamlining CI/CD processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and seamless development pipelines, collaborating closely with data scientists and other stakeholders to deliver best-in-class solutions.
You will:
Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, PowerShell scripting) for continuous integration and delivery.
Ensure high availability and reliability of build and release pipelines.
Leverage ARM templates and Bicep to provision and manage Azure services (Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Machine Learning Workspace, etc.).
Maintain infrastructure consistency, scalability, and security across multiple environments.
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
Collaborate with the Data Team to set up observability for data pipelines, ensuring proactive issue identification and resolution.
Work closely with Data Team members to integrate and deploy analytical solutions and machine learning models seamlessly.
Proactively identify and implement improvements in developer workflows to enhance overall productivity and reduce time-to-market.
Your profile
About you:
5+ years of relevant DevOps experience (with a focus on Azure services and tooling).
Experience working closely with data teams (supporting data scientists, ML workflows, or analytics pipelines).
Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, PowerShell scripting).
Solid experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (self-managed Kubernetes, AKS).
Hands-on Infrastructure as Code skills using ARM templates and Bicep.
Experience setting up and tuning monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar).
Knowledge of security best practices (secrets management, vulnerability scanning, etc.).
Programming/scripting capabilities in Python
Excellent communication and documentation skills, especially in explaining complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
